This monument has been rebuilt a number of times and is said to be a sign of respect to a group of seven monks that were killed in the 14th century.

Gates Of Dawn

The Gates of Dawn is one of the most visited shrines in the whole of Lithuania. Said by many to have healing powers, within the white-walled chapel you will find a Renaissance painting of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Framed in tempera oak boards, the portrait was repainted in oil as part of restorations and dates all the way back to the 17th century, where rumours of miracle-working powers are said to have begun.

Trakai Island Castle

This Red-walled castle looks like something straight out of a Super Mario game. With a lake of glistening blue water as well as surrounding trees, this amazing castle is a sight to see for all who decide to visit here. Built within the 14th century, this castle is one of the most interesting of all the historical elements. Grūtas Park
