Located in Northern Europe, on the Baltic Sea and the Gulf of Finland, Estonia has a booming tourist industry. The country’s capital, Tallinn, is well-known for its cultural offerings, with quaint streets and ancient buildings. In addition to this, however, is a vibrant nightlife and range of low-cost pubs, clubs and restaurants.

For more adventurous travellers, Estonia can be the ideal destination. With skiing, hiking, horse-riding, canoeing and rafting all on offer, there’s an activity for every adrenaline-junkie. With Lahemaa National Park located just 50 miles outside of Tallinn, you may even want to explore the beaches and local wildlife while you’re in the country.

Booking your trip

When you’re arranging your trip to Estonia, you’ll have lots to plan and book. Firstly, you may be deciding what part of the country you’d like to visit and what type of accommodation will suit your needs. You may be looking for certain types of activities or deciding what you need to pack for your perfect trip.

Of course, it’s easy to get carried away when you’re planning a holiday but it’s important to remember the essentials too. As well as making sure your passport is in date and easily accessible, for example, you’ll want to make sure that you’ve completed your e111 renewal.

Ensuring access to medical assistance while you’re away

Also known as a European Health Insurance Card or EHIC, the e111 card renewal is extremely important. When you’re travelling to a country within the EEA, an EHIC renewal will ensure that you can access state-funded healthcare.

Although no-one wants to fall ill while they’re on holiday, you can’t control your health. Completing an e111 card renewal and ensuring you have a European Health Insurance Card will, however, ensure that you can access professional medical help, when and if you need it.

If you’re going on holiday as a family, it’s important to remember that each member will need to have their own e111 card. If you already have a card and need to complete am e111 card renewal, you’ll simply be able to order additional cards for a partner and/or children under the age of 16.

Why wait? Order your EHIC or renew your e111 card today!
